Biography

Rebecca Emerson, soprano, received the Bachelor of Music degree in Voice from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2024. While at Palm Beach Atlantic she studied under Metropolitan Opera soprano, Marilyn Mims. Some of Rebecca’s notable roles at PBA include Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Don Elvira in Don Giovanni.  She graduated with the Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Alabama in 2026, studying under soprano Susan Williams.  With the UA Opera Theatre, the Arizona native has been seen as Maguelonne in Viardot’s Cinderella, The Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel, and La Maestra delle Novizie in Suor Angelica.  She has also performed as a soloist in Palm Beach Atlantic’s performance of Seven Last Words (Trotta), and Missa Florida (Vwjvanovsky).   

In addition to performing, Rebecca currently teaches piano, voice, and guitar at Capstone Music Academy, where she works with students across multiple genres. Through her teaching, she enjoys helping students develop their musical skills while fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for music.
